Egymoji app for iPhone and iPad

Egymoji is a graduation project by Yasmine Nagui. This project has been designed to enhance computer-mediated communication within the Egyptian culture by incorporating illustrated designs in the form of the ever-growing phenomenon known as emojis.


These Egymojis depict popular elements from the daily Egyptian vernacular in an effort to further diversify the inclusion of the Arab World within the world of digital communication. This collection can not only contribute to the diversification of emojis, but it can also further improve visual communication in a country with little written rules, high illiteracy rates, and an incredible visual culture.


أيجيموجي هو مشروع تخرج ياسمين ناجي. تم تصميم هذا المشروع لتحسين التواصل بوساطة الحاسوب ضمن الثقافة المصرية من خلال دمج تصميمات توضيحية في صورة الحالة النامية المعروفة بإيموجيز.


هذه الإجييموجيز تصور عناصر شعبية من العامية المصرية اليومية من بذل الجهد لزيادة تنويع شمول العالم العربي ضمن عالم الاتصلات الرقمية. هذه المجموعة ليست بالإمكانية أن تساهم بتنويع الإيموجيز فقط، بل يمكنها أيضاً أن تزيد تحسين التواصل البصري في بلد ضئيلة في قوانين الكتابة، و درجة عالية في الأمية، و ثقافة بصرية مذهلة.
